    Description

Here is a very rare and beautiful 1914 Washinton Gold token for sale. This piece was featured in the famous M.E. Hart - Coins of the Golden West series of the early 20th century. ME Hart Gold Coin lists this piece as variety WIRH-1. It is an R7 rarity with 4 to 12 pieces known.
This token is catalogued by Mike Locke as a Round 1914 Washington Gold 1/2. It features an Indian obverse and a Shield & Wreath reverse. It sports a coin turn alignment and a plain edge. This gold piece was produced by the M.E. Hart company for the state of Washington for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. These are quite ellusive and desirable!
This tiny gold piece is not denominated and is not legal tender; just a super rare old token. This issue is known to be solid native gold of a 10 Karat (or better) fineness. It has a diameter of 10.6mm and weighs 0.5 grams.
This example is very attractive with great detail and lustrous gold color. It has a gleaming uncirculated look. This flashy piece shows signs of former use as jewelry. There is a tiny bit of gold solder at 12 o'clock obverse. Token displays very light and even toning. What a beautiful and interesting variety this is!
