    I was informed that what I have is a parachute tie-down shackle for a military jeep.
    Was used to hook  the parachute to when they toss the jeep  ou of  the  back of an airplane.
    Complete and in good working condition
    Overall length is approximately 7 in. x  5 in. wide, 1 in. pin.
    Tow “eye” is approximately 3 in. diameter.
